Getting to know ZPos - Thomas Burt

Over the next few weeks we are going to feature all of the current ZPos staff. Get to know everyone in the office so you can easily find the correct person to help with anything you need. This week we are getting to know our Graphics Designer Tom.

Who are you?

I’m Thomas Burt, ZPos’s Graphics Designer.

What do you do at ZPos?

I work with customers to help produce a whole range of products, everything from flyers to web design concepts. I help to visualise the ideas that our customers think of while also providing a professional and creative spin.

Where have you worked previously?

I have worked in a variety of jobs over the past few years, split between retail and design based work.  I’ve also worked on multiple personal design/development projects throughout that time. Previous jobs included working at Bird Cycleworks, HCL, Able Creative, Tesco, Halfords and Magnetic Head.

What previous education did you have before working at ZPos?

I studied my GCSE’s at Ranelagh School in Bracknell and will be attending Reading College for Graphics Design in September this year. Most of my knowledge has been built through working on my own personal projects.

What do you enjoy most about working for ZPos?

I really enjoy developing ideas with customers and love seeing the finished products. We’ve got a great team here too so I really enjoy working with everyone.

What do you get up to when you aren’t at work?

When I’m not at work I try to get out and go mountain biking, if I can’t do that I usually do photography, music production or graphics design work.

How will your time at ZPos help you in the future?

Being able to put my design skills into practice and work to customer briefs will help me progress massively as a designer. ZPos will help to provide me with a good base to develop my portfolio and skills from.
